Do you actually want a kangaroo pocket on a hoodie?

I’ve noticed more hoodies lately with a really clean front — no drawstrings and sometimes no kangaroo pocket.

I like the cleaner look, but I also use the pocket way more than I realize.

If the fit and fabric were exactly the same, would you pick:

a traditional hoodie with pocket + drawstrings, or a cleaner version without them?

I’m curious which details people actually use versus just expect a hoodie to have.

Are heavyweight hoodies actually better, or just heavier?

Random thought — people talk about 400gsm, 500gsm, even heavier hoodies like the number automatically means better quality.

I like some weight, but once a hoodie gets too heavy it can start feeling stiff or annoying to wear all day.

For you, what actually makes a hoodie feel high quality?

Weight, softness, fit, how it holds up after washing, or something else?
