Tadar — The Ambidextrous Geometric Language of Oghea
Tadar is Oghea’s national language, writing system, and mathematical grammar — a unified framework that binds speech, gesture, geometry, and code into one coherent system.
1. The Tadar Seven & The Cosmological Cross
The language is built on The Tadar Seven, seven root glyphs formed entirely from straight lines and right angles. Each glyph represents a fundamental created gift:
- Water (⊏) — grace, Spirit, fluidity
- Earth (⬒) — clay, body, humanity
- Fire (⊔) — passion, purity, transformation
- Air (|) — breath, Spirit, the medium between realms
- Energy / Frequency (⊓) — power, vibration, grounded life
- Time / Vibration (⌊) — rhythm, eternal order
- Logic / Principles (⌝) — wisdom, laws, underlying patterns
On the Oghean Cosmological Cross, these glyphs map across three realms:
- Heaven (Top Bar) — Air, Water, Time; gifts descending from God
- Earth (Middle Bar) — Fire, Earth, Energy; humanity’s realm of response
- The Deep (Bottom) — Logic; the foundation beneath creation
- Vertical Line — the Spirit moving through all realms
2. Alphabet & Phonetic Mechanics
From the seven roots emerge 21 letters, arranged into 7 families (three letters each).
- Vowels (7): a, o, u, e, i, long‑m, long‑n
- Consonants (14): b, c, d, f, g, h, j, l, p, r, s, t, v, w
Tadar produces 36 total sounds using a simple toggle mark — a dot or interior line that shifts a letter from its primary sound to its secondary one (e.g., S → /s/ or /ʃ/).
Additional modifiers encode categorical pairs such as life/death, male/female, singular/plural, and personal/impersonal.
Words may appear in:
- Linear alphabetic form, or
- Compressed logogram form, where letters merge into a single geometric glyph.
3. Ambidextrous Flow & The Seven Forms
Tadar is fully ambidextrous — readable left‑to‑right or right‑to‑left. The final letter of every word automatically flips to act as a directional arrow, eliminating ambiguity.
The same 21 letters operate across seven functional modes:
- Phonetic
- Logogram
- Kinetic
- Alphabetic
- Programming
- Sign (hand‑symbols mirroring glyph geometry)
- Integer
4. Duodecimal Math System (Base‑12)
Tadar’s Integer form uses a duodecimal (base‑12) system built on five “Odd Anchors”:
- 0 — Dot (•)
- 1 — Line (— / |)
- 3 — Triangle (∆)
- 5 — Cup (U)
- 7 — Circle (O)
Values are modified using internal stroke marks:
- Vertical stroke (+1)
- Horizontal stroke (–1)
- Long stroke (×2)
- Diagonal slash (x²)
These operations are visually embedded inside the numeral itself, making math geometric, intuitive, and symbolic.
5. Civic Role & Citizenship Path
The Office of Ledger and Language (OLL) and the Eldar of the Rhoedsman Order maintain linguistic unity and prevent dialectal drift.
Tadar proficiency is a legal requirement for civic advancement:
- Tadar Level 1 — Required for Native Status
- Tadar Level 2 — Required to pass the Citizen Exam
