42x24 house fire rebuild
Had a house fire, so I get to rebuild, but I need to use original foundation and front stoop. I want to age in this house (I'm 50). Live alone, so main floor is for me and finished basement will be basic, two egress bedrooms, 3/4 bath, flex space' mechanical storage.
I like the front half of my architect's drawing and the kitchen space(not the layout). Pantry is addition. Rood will be monoslope. I want large area for tv that I can see from kitchen, no need for dining.
Not happy with bathroom, WIC, primary situation. I require a bathtub, but was hoping for a separate shower as well (for when I get old). WIC seems to have a lot of wasted space and not much actual closet space.
Edit: second photo is my attempt at fixing. Furniture, cabinets, etc are just for my visualization. Meet with builder tomorrow to go over plan and send revisions to architect.
Edit: Feel like to many people are focusing on the age in place thing. It's a house fire rebuild, so I will have steps into house etc. I want it to be age friendly, not ADA compliant.
