I’m of Portuguese nationality, with a Settled Status living in the UK.

Both my Passport and ID card expired last month. I renewed my ID first (as we are required to do that in order to renew the Passport). Trouble is, there was no available dates to renew the passport before I head over to Portugal for emergency reasons.

I have since received my ID back and submitted the application to add a new document to my UKVI account. The thing is, when I did it online and when I uploaded the photo it did say the photos did not meet the requirements, even though it did. So it asked me to write down the details and of I believed the photos were still good, I could submit the form to be checked. It may take up to 2 weeks to hear back.

Has anyone been in this situation?
Have you had to send your ID? If there was the need would they contacted for that?

I will still be leaving in 2 weeks….
I have my new ID, the old ID and the expired passport. What if my Visa account has not been updated by the time I am flying back?

As a settle resident, I know I can fly with my ID… but if the account has not been updated will I be stuck even though I have the old documents with me?
