Ignore the fact that they aren’t the neatest but are there visible signs of anemia in my nails? You can’t tell very well in the picture but the tips of my nails are so thin you can almost see through them.
Anyone else not have symptoms before getting diagnosed? I mean… I had symptoms but they just weren’t screaming ANEMIA. I would say I just generally felt unwell, tired, and dizzy all the time. Mainly fatigue is what stuck out to me and the other things I thought were caused by the fatigue. I went to the doctor wanted to get referred to a sleep doctor thinking maybe I had a sleep disorder and instead they did a full blood panel and voila.
Just got a full panel done last week. They told me they were checking for anemia as a possibility because I told them I’m extremely fatigued all the time. I got the results back today and my doctor sent in a prescription for an iron supplement to take twice daily. What do you make of my results? Anyone with an anemia diagnose have/had similar results?
