Where are the good modern PG movies?
I am a constant advocate for the idea that if someone holds a view like "all modern music (or any other content in an artform) is crap", usually in comparison to some favored earlier era, they just aren't looking in the right places. Despite that, I've functioned under the general assumption PG movies weren't all that, until realizing by pure coincidence on the youtube recommended bar that these two movies I hold dear to my heart are both PG rated.
I can't remember the last time I saw a PG movie as good as something like one of these two movies, though over the past few years I've enjoyed a handful of animated ones that likely fall a tier below them, so I guess all I was wondering was why that is. Is a PG movie being this good simply very rare, or do I just not know of what's good, or do they really just lack the sauce they used to have?
