How do we keep retention in our game?

This has probably been talked about a million times over the ages.

I fear that we as a game do not get the fresh players that we once had. Is it the award system? Is it the knights? Is it the culture?

Our game is stupendously unique and I think everyone deserves a chance to try it and see for themselves what we're all about.

Recruiting is an entirely different category. What I mean is; when folks try our game how do we keep them here?

I figure with UNC close by, there might be interest in starting a LARP there? Not sure if there is a good park to meet that's maybe close to the college? I play something called Amtgard, I believe the town of Greeley could benefit from something fun like this. I play it in Fort Collins and it's a huge hit out there!

The question I pose is this:

  1. What is the best park in Greeley to try something like this?

  2. Is there a leadership team that would be willing to try something like this?

Back in the late '90s there was a park there called "Dark Meadows". Maybe some of those folks still live in Greeley and know what I'm talking about.

What do you guys think?
