Girlfriend’s Niche Experience (?)
So, at the beginning of the year my partner applied to the AHRC Landscape Award at UOM. Fast forward to three days ago, after having a successful interview, she received an email offering her the studentship whilst we were in the Vatican Museum, moments before entering the Sistine Chapel. Neither of us are very superstitious, but it was a religious experience, for sure. And I’m so proud.
As I’m nearing the end of my (funded) PhD, I’m so excited for her to experience all the highs and lows that the next three and a half years have to offer. I’ll be her biggest cheerleader.
Is finding out that you were accepted for quite a prestigious studentship in the Vatican Museum a one of a kind experience (I think it is)?
