Trying to learn more about the hobby
Hello,
I own a few placer claims in my area and recently decided to take a try at prospecting for some hard rock gold. Almost all my knowledge is exclusively in placer deposits. I went to some abandoned mine sites and hiked a 6km circle around them looking for anything interesting and found a large vein of this quartz poking out of the ground. I’m curious if anyone would bother crushing this stuff or if it’s just a waste of manual labor. Not looking to get rich or anything just wanting to see a bit of color from the rock instead of dirt. Thank you for reading!
