Waiting on my seller to find a home with a closing date in 30 days. The bank has completed everything and is waiting for closing. If this extension (with this will be 90 days) falls through I may back out.

Now I’m starting since time has passed I’m a little worried on my income. I am currently a student and a 100% disabled veteran. I am using the VA loan, putting 40k down and have about 100k saved up. I make around 10,000$ a month and my wife makes approx 3k.

The mortgage is expected to be just at 600k, and the monthly payment is 4,000. This still seems high as when I’m not in school I won’t get the housing stipend.

Would you continuing renting if you were me?
