Hello Reddit! I don’t know if this is the right community to ask, but we need a little help understanding more about DID. We’re currently doing a case study, and we just wanted to ask a few questions for clarification about DID.

• Is it normal if some alters in DID don’t know the other alters of the host?

• Also, is it normal for alters to be aware when they are switching? (For example, if someone tells one alter to let another alter talk.)

If there are any studies, articles, or research you can provide, we would really appreciate it.
