Heavy club for low reps?

Everyone I see swings heavy clubs in the 10+ rep range. Curious if anyone is using heavier clubs and doing reps of five or triples for multiple sets? Lifting this way has always felt energizing and joint friendly to me.

Clubs standing on one foot

Try it if you want to focus on form and really challenge your lower body. You can't be sloppy and it's more difficult than it sounds. Make sure to do an equal number on each leg- 5 reps of shield cast right hand/right leg then 5 reps right hand/left leg. It's a great neurological challenge and has tremendous carryover when you go back to standing on both feet. Start with a lighter club at first to allow your body to adjust to the added stress of having one half the base. Get ready to feel some deep muscles you may not have felt before.
