Was looking at a Bachelors program and now just looking to complete an associates program

Hey all,

Wanting to reach out and possibly see if others have been in the same boat. I planned to apply for a dental hygiene bachelor program in my state and have been attending a university with a pre-dental hygiene route to help meet the pre-requsites for the program. Unfortunately life has happened and it's not longer going to be feasible to relocate to attend this bachelors program if I got accepted into it. I'm currently on my second year and have this fall and spring semester to finish the pre-requsites (class-wise not including community service, leadership, shadowing that is also needed) but anyways I was looking into applying to an asoicate dental hygiene program instead because the schools are in a more reasonable location. I still plan to finish out this fall and spring semester as I am under the impression that I will still earn an AS. My concern is how the process of applying to an associates program is and later down the road if I wanted to pursue the bachelors if my past schooling will help. Thanks in advance.

Question for Dental Hygienists who initially got an associates and then went for a Bachelor's

I'm currently on track for completing most of the pre-requisites to apply for a bachelors level dental hygiene program in my state (By my understanding I'll have my AS by next spring) but due to personal and family reasons relocating and attending the program is out of the question for now. Doing research, I found plenty of nearby colleges that have associate level dental hygiene programs and I was considering that as my best option. For those who completed an associates in dental hygiene then went for a bachelors in dental hygiene, how did that process go? I think I'm most concerned about my current schooling not being considered down the road when going for a bachelors in dental hygiene if I go the route of doing an associates dental hygiene program. I'm still planning on finishing up my current schooling. Thank you all in advance.
