This $10 Thrift Store Find Was the Perfect Beginner Furniture Painting Project
I was actually on the hunt for a curbside rescue when I came across this vintage waterfall dresser at my local Restore for just $10. At that price, I couldn't leave it behind!
I've painted quite a few waterfall dressers over the years, and every time I find one, I have mixed feelings about them. 😄 But this one reminded me that sometimes the best makeovers come from keeping things simple.
Instead of using lots of techniques, I went back to the basics with good prep, one beautiful paint color, and a little gilding wax to freshen up the original hardware. It completely changed the look while still letting the dresser keep its vintage charm.
I shared the entire makeover, along with all the products and steps I used, if anyone is interested in seeing the process:

I'd love to know... do you usually paint waterfall dressers, keep the wood, or do a combination of both? I'm always curious to see how everyone approaches these pieces!
