My boat is slow

I have a PDQ 32. It isn’t overly loaded, bottom is clean but I can’t do better than 7 knots. Is this typical. Am I missing something. The PDQ 32 is a catamaran. Thanks

Owning a plane in South Florida is a burden

I have been down in South Florida for a couple of years now and owning a plane down here is really just a burden. I guess if you’re super rich, it’s fine but for the average person who owns a piston airplane it’s no fun. There’s no hangers or if there are any then you’re spending at least $10,000 a year for them. The maintenance facilities so far have been horrible. Every annual appears to be a blood letting. Where i used to live, I didn’t fear my annuals but now I do. You think that it can’t be worse than last year but surprisingly after you’ve only flown for 30 hours there’s $30,000 of new repairs that need to be done. Most of them aren’t airworthy, but trying to fight with the mechanics is a challenge. My most recent annual I had to tell them to just stop. They couldn’t give me an estimate after multiple requests and I told them I needed to know what it’s going to cost before the repairs are done to make sure that I can afford it. It’s ridiculous. I understand flying is an expensive hobby but it shouldn’t cost me $1000 an hour to own a single engine airplane. Not to mention but there really isn’t anywhere fun to fly around here. All the airspace is either B or C and there aren’t a lot of little airports to stop at that aren’t going to charge you just to park there for an hour.
I’m just venting, but I’m at the point where I’m just considering getting rid of the plane since I don’t need it for business anymore
