The Post Interview Stage

At the stage where the interview is complete (as of 24 hours ago), and I’m shitting bricks wondering if I answered things professionally and successfully. Was told they have a couple more evaluations to get through, but I want this job so bad I couldn’t even sleep last night.

Application Systems Analyst II

Hi!

I have an interview coming up with a hospital for this particular role and I am super excited, but simultaneously extremely nervous. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or questions I should practice beforehand?

Background: Currently a laboratory technologist in microbiology and this role is for Epic Beaker. I am mainly in specimen processing and Microscan (I work in Ohio, so I was capable of learning all benches, but their training here was not good). I also found myself more interested in how the machines worked and troubleshooting! Thank you!

Epic Beaker Analyst Advice

Hi everyone!

I recently became aware that my current employer has an opening for their Beaker Analyst 2 position and they told us all in the lab if we were interested to apply. Only thing is I spoke with my bosses and they made it clear that I was capable of doing the job and that they saw no problem with me learning the ropes, they just wish it wasn’t microbiology (i’m a tech). They didn’t discourage me from applying, but things they said and how much I’d have to interact with them, kind of turned me off.

That being said I am hoping to move back home (another state) and saw that a hospital has an opening for the same position so I applied as well.

I guess my question for everyone, are my chances probably better to work with those I already know or starting fresh? Both postings of course stated that they’d prefer epic certification, but both are willing to teach!

Thank you.
