ELI5: How did inbreeding cripple the monarchy so bad?
Inbreeding was a thing for monarchy, to keep the royal blood in the throne as always. If they have such similar dna, and they're basically a match, how does that end up making things worse?
Surely if two people are directly related, the child would be the exact same, right?
So how did it cripple royal familys and cause a child to be born without a brain? How could this happen?
