8 Weeks of sinus issues and health anxiety
Takes me a lot to come to the internet for some sort of validation or answers but here I am. Running out of ideas and steam.. usually the internet makes my health anxiety skyrocket but figured I would keep trying and see! 8 weeks ago I spent a weekend outside in the sun in a crowded place and woke up that Monday and just felt super off and like I was lethargic and just not feeling like myself. I thought at first I was sleep deprived after a long weekend of low sleep. Slept 10+ hours for a week and still wasn’t feeling energized or awake at all.. started to notice some pressure in my nose area and some burning in my nose throat area when I would swallow. Assumed at this point I had a sinus bug or undiagnosed allergies.. doctor agreed so we did allergy testing and the results came back as I am not allergic to anything at all. So he said it’s probably a virus but not an infection so I just have to wait it out.. I’m on week 8 of waiting it out and my symptoms are robbing me of my normal life and super frustrating to deal with. Listing my symptoms below for like the last 5 weeks..
Vision feels off.. not like blurry but off when I’m wearing my glasses (yes I know about depersonalization but it’s not quite off like that) it’s like my brain is working overtime to process stuff and it almost feels too clear idk
Slight dizziness when I’m up and walking around
Eyes get red and irritated right when I wake up and when I go to bed. Pretty fine during the day
Energy levels are so low. I am tired way earlier than I used to be.
Depression and anxiety are as high as it ever has been. Had bloodwork done and everything looks fine
Fast forward to today and I have an ENT appointment before a sinus CT scan and he has a eureka moment with my symptoms saying it’s migraines. Silent migraines that I’ve been dealing with. Has anyone else had these findings and if not maybe reach out to your doctor and ask. He told me 9/10 people that come in with random long term sinus stuff like mine it’s some sort of migraine and he sees it very often. I am starting meds today and will update if it helped or not. Figured this might help someone else or maybe someone else can help me..
Try to be kind if you can I know this sounds desperate and like I’m just in an anxiety cycle but figured I’d see if anyone else deals with these symptoms and made it out to the other side. Some days it feels there’s no end in sight. Anyways sorry for the long post hope everyone is or will soon be happy and healthy!
