Flashback?

The flare gun mechanic has actually been around for a very long time—dating back to the Mini DayZ era, when the game was still an app on the Play Store. Back then, the UI featured an icon in the top-left corner—next to the character icon—that allowed you to watch an advertisement. Once the ad finished, an airdrop containing random resources would land at or near the player's location (especially if they were inside a structure). These drops could contain anything—from food to a gun or ammunition. Sometimes this was handy, while other times it was a waste of time. The flare gun works in essentially the same way. The difference is that the flare gun is much rarer; it is found only in bunkers or specific map locations. I personally don't find it particularly useful, especially since the drop is completely random, making the odds of actually getting something valuable very low. Still, it’s a fun little item to use.

My tier list

Hey everyone. Seeing as the Mini DayZ weapon tier list has become popular, I decided to post my own personal version myself. I know I’ll likely get comments from people who disagree with my rankings, but I want to convey a simple message: I’ve placed these weapons in their respective slots based on my own experience, covering everything, from guns I use constantly to those I’ve barely touched. My rankings factor in accuracy, availability, ammo type, reload speed, damage output, and overall effectiveness at taking out zombies in the long run. Ammo availability is a particularly important factor for me; if a powerful weapon isn't at the top of the list, it’s usually because its ammos are hard to find. I don't consider such a weapon worth using—so even if it deals massive damage, I’ll still place it in a lower tier. Let me know what you think.

The Abandoned APC.

Hi everyone! Today i've found another cool Find. For those unfamiliar with this type of find, it is an abandoned APC. You’ll come across plenty of them at intersections and military bases throughout the game. In this instance, however, we’ve found one right out in the middle of the woods. What makes this one unique is the orange box sitting beside it and the entry/exit hatch; it is clearly open, even though you cannot actually go inside the vehicle. The box contains very useful loot: usually items like claymores, base-building supplies, a hacksaw, duct tape, or other gear that is highly valuable during the mid- to late-game stages.

Hear me out!

Hear me out for a moment guys. With all the things i have seen so far that have been added. Wouldn't it be cool if there was a radio? No. Not the radio we all know. Like a real radio. A Radio that in the game would let you listen or play music files. (either yours from your device, put inside a specific folder. OR just old music with no copyrigt). The main purpose would not be only fun qnd entertainment, it could also be usefull if it had other effects, like that when it's on, all the zombies between one square map tile radius can spot you, or rather they get attracted to the location. Also it could use batteries, but it would consume very low energy considering it's a silly radio, if it was placeable it would be just as good. [No hate please, this is just a random thought I had]

The first island starter pack.

I doubt there is any player who would disagree with me here. Yeah there are a few things like a revolver or a some hunter's gear that you could find. But if not... that's literally the average gear you are going to the second island with.

The Supply drop

This is the secret find "The supply drop". I took this screenshot while playing back in 2022 and 2023; those familiar with the locations I’ve posted about before will know they often involve the secret finds hidden in Mini DayZ, and this is one of them. It is one of the coolest finds I’ve come across—complete with smoke animations that make it look like a freshly deployed supply drop. Unlike in the latest versions, where it is quite common, back then you could find a frying pan inside; while it served as a primary melee weapon, it had no real utility beyond that. However, in my opinion, it was clearly a reference to PUBG, where the frying pan is one of the most iconic melee weapons. The difference between the original Mini DayZ and the latest versions (like 2.3.2) is that the pan can now be used for cooking—something that wasn't possible in the older versions, as far as I know. Still, it remains one of those secrets that could be discovered by using a radio.

Average blood moon experience:

I swear, most of the time it's just a pain to play with it. Don't get me wrong. It's good because it add some extra difficulty but sometimes it feels like it's there just to annoy you, between the hordes pf zombies that just assault you for like 8 minutes straight or more and the negative effects... (Still a good feature though).

The Drone.

Hey guys, I came across an old photo from 2022 showing one of the many "finds" you can come across in MiniDayZ—in this case, a drone. I don't quite recall what was inside it—whether it was just the radio (which you might be able to spot in the image) or if there was another special item as well. It’s one of those finds I’ve never seen again since, so I’d be really happy if someone could tell me if they’ve come across it or have a higher-quality photo of it. I wanted to post this because, while I’ve seen plenty of secret locations in MiniDayZ, I only managed to capture this one on camera that single time. I apologize for the quality; like many others, this image has been transferred between devices multiple times, and it’s also quite old and was taken with a low-quality mobile phone.

What's that?

I was wandering along the road on the fourth island when I saw this colored cloud. On the map, It was positioned right over a military base. Does anyone know how I can get inside? I have the feeling that if I just walk in as I am, I might die.

The Hunter's Cabin

Hello everyone. This is the second unique structure I’ve found in this same run. I’m surprised to come across another secret location once again. As you can probably guess from the looks of it—especially if you’ve ever been inside one—this is the Hunter’s Cabin. There’s a vehicle outside, presumably the hunter's, there is also a hunting tower—we often find them throughout the game, especially in areas far from villages or buildings, and naturally near the hunter's cabin as well. And as for the loot inside the cabin, it isn't particularly special: just a rifle—it can be a KSS or a Mosin if you're lucky—along with some ammos and food.

An ambulance?

Hello guys! Here another cool find. I had been wandering around the second island for a while—getting ready to take the boat to the third—when, while casually exploring the map, I stumbled upon this ambulance (or some sort of medical vehicle) hidden among the trees in the forest as a secret spot. The contents of the crate weren't anything special—just a standard pistol, if I recall correctly—but it’s really interesting to come across these kinds of secret locations.

How rare is the Albino Deer?

Hello to everyone who is seeing this post. I ask for your help with a simple small task. I was scrolling through my collection of old MiniDayZ photos and videos from 2023 and 2024 when I came across this picture of an albino deer from the game. I ended up killing it for its meat, but I managed to snap a photo before doing so. I'm not sure exactly how rare the albino deer is, but I've only seen one—maybe two at most—across all the many long sessions I've played. If anyone knows how rare it is, or if anyone has ever met it, I'd love to find out.

I think I found a STALKER easter egg in Mini DAYZ.

This video comes from a collection of footage I recorded between 2023 and 2024—specifically compiled to archive all the MiniDayZ clips and photos I gathered during that time. I’ve decided to share this Easter egg on Reddit for the first time now to show—for those unaware—that the game contains a reference to *S.T.A.L.K.E.R.* I am a long-time player who still enjoys the enhanced versions today, and I’m grateful to the community for making the current iteration of MiniDayZ possible. Even though I realize others may have already discovered this, I want to highlight that there are rare Easter eggs and events worth exploring and trying to trigger during gameplay. If anyone has found a secret, event, or Easter egg in the game that they’d like to discuss, feel free to leave a comment below. I also want to point out that this video comes from a run I did a long time ago—one that ended quite simply, with a grenade tossed right at my own feet. Yet, that moment reminded me of the video's existence and why I should have published it back then, even though I never did. It is worth remembering certain Easter eggs and sharing them online to keep their significance—or any potential connections—alive. I also sincerely apologize for the audio; after all this time—and due to moving files between devices—the audio file may have become damaged or corrupted. However, the original track can still be faintly heard, along with all the in-game effects and post-processing applied by the game itself.
