Distance, Pace, or Weight?

I'm relatively new to this but love the feeling and changes this has brought about my body in a relatively short time.

I use a weighted vest - Titan Fitness - that is adjustable by 2.5lb increments.

I started off too heavy in the past, but restarted recently at a more comfortable weight and pace. I'm 220lbs, pretty muscular/strong and I usually row, for cardio - I restarted with a 25lb ruck, recently however, and do about 2.5 miles in the morning at about 3.2 - 3.5 mph.

I've increased the weight to about 40lbs over the past month and a half, and I'm still comfortable at this higher weight. I could go up to 45 and even 50 pretty easily, I think. I think the vest might hold a max of 60, maybe 70.

Is there a wiki here, or a guide? This 2.5 miles takes me about 45 minutes or so, and I'm reticent to spend more time doing this (just because I do it at 5am, before work, while it's still cool.)

The pace is OK (I guess I could try a little faster!) but I know I could increase the weight. Is there a % of bodyweight where the weight could be too much, i.e. bad for joints or posture, eventually? What are your thoughts, those that have been doing this for much longer?

Appreciate you and any insight/time that you could give me.

Ugliest lobbies to date!

I'm really hoping this is due to the update. I have 300+ hours in the game and zero raider knockouts. My lobbies are usually friendly with PvP every 20 or so games, and I am usually able to escape.

Tonight's games were taking forever with matchmaking...I'm usually in a game in 30 seconds or less, but had to wait 3-4 minutes for some games. Still though, new matchmaking, better matches! Or so I thought/hoped.

First run was great - electromagnetic storm, I met a dude who was like a magnet for lightning. I defibbed him 3 times! We were dying laughing at the chaos.

The next 8/8 games I was killed, shot on sight. After the first death, I started doing naked runs. Talking to raiders, offering to help with trials, emoting 'don't shoot' - nothing helped. Eventually, due to the delayed matchmaking and the constant PvP, I was spending too much time waiting for matches and dying in 30 seconds, so I gave up. Any similar experiences or is this just me?

Is the Bettina Rat Bait?

I don't bring it a lot...I actually prefer the renegade for arc...but it's a pretty good gun and I'm trying to get used to it.

I'm PvE only. 250 hours in, zero raider knockouts and decent defib numbers. I don't encounter PvP often of late... I'm never able to fight back in time, it's over within a second. Except last night. I was ratted right next to a raider hatch while fighting off 3 hornets. I'd killed two...and as he ran over to finish me, he got distracted by the last one and I escaped.

Realized that the 4 PvP encounters I've had over the past month...I had the Bettina every time. And never since. (i.e I've not run it between PvP deaths.) Then as soon as I run it, I get PvP'd. Is this damned thing rat bait, or is this just a coincidence?

(Btw I never pay attention to what gun others have on their back, does anyone else?)

Why should I do the expedition?

Genuinely curious how many people do the expeditions, and why should I do it (if at all.)

Ive been playing on and off since December and 'only' have a couple hundred hours. I'm a casual dad player with maybe 3-4 hours week available.

I finally have a fair amount of blueprints but to be honest most of the big ones (burletta, equalizer, snaphook, Wolfpack...even anvil!) were given to me and I can't say I have ever found one in the wild! Found a Wolfpack my first night of riven tides night raid, and my head about exploded. That's maybe the first rare BP, ever.

I go to night raids, hurricanes, all the events...I just so seldom find them, and if I do, it's the osprey over and over, or the same gun attachment.

The bottom line is I've finally got a good load out and am in a position where I can fight large arc, and enjoy/do more in the game. The thought of giving up all of this and starting over feels like a huge chore.

The new trader, allowing you to carry some blueprints over, takes SOME of the sting outbof resetting.

Are there stats on how many do the expedition, and are there any advantages I'm missing? (Other than the joy of the grind over again?)
