Dressed up the 110 with some vintage luggage for an event

Had an excuse to dress up the Defender for a local event and went all-in on the vintage luggage. I thought the final setup looked too good not to share. Removed the event branding since this post is really about the truck and roof-rack arrangement.

Bowman Field Meeting. Anybody know what this is about?

Just saw this from Councilman Weber and wondering if anyone has additional details. I have noticed an increase in private jet and helicopter traffic, but living near an airport it is what it is.

Text from email copied below:

Bowman Field Community Meeting — Tomorrow, June 30th at 6:00 PM

I know this notice is coming late, and I want to own full responsibility for that. Our office has been working for months to bring people together, Bowman gave us plenty of time to get this out, and we dropped the ball (in a meager defense, there are a lot of things going on right now).

For months, we've been actively listening to residents across District 8 about Bowman Field about their concerns. People have referenced increased noise, different traffic patterns, different types of aircraft (ie. helicopters), and the increased frequency from what had become the norm. This affects people’s ability to enjoy their homes and neighborhoods.

We've proactively held community meetings on this topic over the past several months, and I feel confident that we have a strong sense of the concerns.  We have already brought those to airport leadership, and are encouraged by their receptiveness and willingness to problem-solve.
If you can't make it, HERE is a link to a comment form. Your input still matters and will be part of the record.
Tomorrow evening, the Louisville Regional Airport Authority has agreed to address community concerns. Dan Mann, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority, and Jorgie Dermody, Director of Bowman Field, will both be there and available for questions. This is a real opportunity to ask them directly the questions that have been sitting on your mind. What authority exists to make changes? What are the options?

Come with your questions. Come with your concerns. That's exactly what this meeting is for.

Hope to see you there.

Looking to Buy Defender in US

Looking to buy a Defender 110, if anyone is considering selling.

I’m actively looking for a Land Rover Defender 110 and wanted to ask if anyone here is considering selling theirs, or knows of one that may be coming available.

I’m especially interested in:

• Solid chassis / bulkhead

• Honest mechanical condition

• Minimal hidden rust

• Preferably a clean, straightforward truck rather than an over-restored example

Looking for years 90’s to early 2000’s, 300tdi or TD5 engines, and configurations if the truck is right. Budget is mid 30’s.

I’m based in Kentucky but willing to travel for the right vehicle.

If you have one, know someone who does, or have leads on a good example coming up for sale soon, feel free to message me.

Thanks.
