Hi, I’ve never done apartment shopping before. I’m from out of state and landed a job towards the south end of RI.

How do you pick an apartment?

During walk throughs, is there anything in the place I should keep an eye out for?

Are there things in the lease I should specify check/ look out for?

How difficult would it be to find housing along the bus route?

Idk if this is relevant but Im 20F and have been looking online via Zillow, Facebook, and any apartment site I can find. I’ve been looking at places for a max of $1200 a month with all utilities included with that max. I’m also looking at places that currently have roommates and they’re looking for more people. I have a car but want the option to take the bus.
