Looking to get into an ADV bike
TLDR: many years of riding but never ridden an ADV, is KLR right for me?
I’ve ridden motorcycles most of my adult life so more than 20 years. However, I’ve never ridden a dual sport or adv bike. I rode sport bikes when I was in my 20s then moved to Harley’s in my 30-40s. My last bike was a HD Road Glide. I have zero dirt bike experience. Ridden plenty of 3 and 4 wheelers but only one dirt bike, one time.
I’m not looking to do any BDRs (yet lol). I live in the blue ridge mountains so back roads and maybe the occasional forest service road and mostly back and forth to work. I see KLRs for sell for fairly reasonable prices in my area. That has me thinking, is something wrong with these bikes? Or are these the right bikes for me? Should I be looking at something else?
