Hi Tracy. It seems like you don't want mass surveillance cameras watching you either.
Come on down on Sunday Aug 23rd and I will personally buy anyone who shows up a drink from Barista's before we do our walk.
We will be walking the highlighted route, pausing for a few minutes at each intersection to add any flock cameras we find to the map and holding signs to passing traffic. This is a great way to get the word out to our fellow Tracy residents, and touch grass in the process.
The walk should take about an hour. I will be at our meeting point at Barista's 30 mins early if you'd like to skip the walking but cash in on the free coffee and chat.

Hey guys local deflock organizer here. As you guys might already be aware Tracy City Council recently voted to install more flock cameras, including cameras in public parks. They now join the network of 120,000 known mass surveillance cameras in the United States.

These ALPR cameras are used to track your movement, regardless of whether you have been accused of a crime. As you all know this system is ripe for misuse. Nationally we have many documented cases of police officers misusing these systems to stalk people. Just this afternoon I spoke with an organizer from Santa Cruz who found through a public records request that data from his local pd was being shared with ICE.

We are apolitical and welcome everyone to join us in organizing locally to remove these cameras. We have some huge momentum right now with Flock losing dozens of City contracts EVERY MONTH.
