Interview tomorrow for Network Deploy L3 AWS, any advise whatsoever

I don’t know if I’m going to be good on the technical questions and all the advise I’ve seen has told me to focus more on the Leadership Principles and answering in the star method but idk what I should expect!

Why do so many people switch from DCO to Deploy team at AWS.

Was really wondering what draws people to make the move from DCO to Deploy team. I’ve also been wondering how’s the schedule of the different ID team (Network deploy, Install, etc) in contrast to DCO where they have the long and short week; front and back half?

Hey everyone,

I wanted to get some opinions on the best move here.

About a month and a half ago, I spoke with an Amazon recruiter about an L3 data center role. At the time, the only options available required relocation, so I didn’t move forward.

Recently, I applied for an L3 Data Center Operations role in New Albany, Ohio (which is my preferred location), and my application is currently in progress.

Since then, I’ve also gained more hands-on experience working in hyperscale data center environments (AWS + Meta), and I’ve updated my resume.

My question is:
Would it be a good idea to reach back out to that same recruiter and let them know I applied and am interested in Ohio roles? Or is it better to just wait for the application process to play out?

I don’t want to come off as pushy, but I also don’t want to miss an opportunity if reaching out could help.

Appreciate any advice.
