I passed the phone screen and take-home assignment, so they've scheduled an hour of LeetCode questions alongside system design. I'm confident about the system design portion, but LeetCode has never been my strong suit. I've shipped meaningful projects during internships that I'm genuinely proud of, and I know I'm capable as an engineer. The issue is that grinding competitive programming problems doesn't reflect how I actually work or problem-solve in a real environment. What really concerns me is that they're planning an onsite with another live coding round featuring 3 hours of LeetCode-style problems. That level of emphasis on algorithmic interview questions doesn't align with what I value in a workplace or how I want to spend my time. I feel like withdrawing might be the right move here, both for my own sake and to save everyone time in the process.

Got tired of breaking focus every five seconds to copy code into ChatGPT. Made Glimpse instead, it just sits on your Mac and sees what you're working on. Hit a hotkey, ask it something, get an answer without leaving your editor.

Shipped it a few weeks ago and people(2 YC founders ) are actually testing it. The difference in how long I can actually focus now is wild.

Made it to the onsite interview for this company. We were moving rapid and I already did the take home assessment and then they had system design where they literally made me design something as a new grad with bachelors which I almost did but their expectations were so different like instead I know when to introduce a rate a limiter and I did, they had me explain the algorithm and I'm like this is how it works and they like what if we did that. LIKE BRUHHH I literally grinded sys design like last week and I havent even had an interview they asked me that. I messed up but it sucks how my product design round really well but but I guess it wasn't enough...... BRUHHH BUT ITS A PRODUCT SWE ROLE. Whatever bruh fuh this.
