My wife wanted an Apple Watch. She got the smaller Huawei instead
My wife works in Madrid. Someone on her floor had an Apple Watch and that was it. From that day she wanted one too. Something that looked like an actual watch, not sports gear. I was ready to buy it.
I didn't. I kept seeing her charging things on the nightstand, and I was already imagining her complaining that her watch was out of battery, as if it was somehow my job to remember to charge it lol... So I bought the smaller Huawei GT 7 instead. Put it on the table. No explanation.
She looked at it like I had completely missed the point. Wrong brand.
She wore it to work anyway. I spent the morning thinking I'd made a mistake.
Then she sent me a photo from the office. Wrist on the desk. Apparently a couple of people had asked what she was wearing.
That was the first sign it wasn't a disaster.
I hope she keeps it, because I'm the one who hears about it if she doesn't.
