Just had my first ever colonoscopy aged 34 had in the UK.

No sedation
No gas and air
No cannula.

I did this due to health anxiety of feeling high or out of it.

I can honestly say that it was painless the worst part was the prep and the only bit that I really felt was when they moved round the corner and it was like 2/10 pain that lasted 5 seconds if that. It felt more like pressure.

I was so nervous before it that I nearly left and didn’t have it done. I’m so glad I had it done.

No cancer found as this was a suspected cancer colonoscopy. However they are certain that I have IBD just unsure which one until the biopsies come back
