Custom leather

I’m looking for recommendations for leather workers, cobblers, or custom leather shops in the Wichita area (or surrounding areas) that could help with a couple of projects.

I have some ideas for custom leather pieces and would love to work with someone who can help design and create them from scratch. I’m also curious if there are any places that can re-tack, rebuild, or modify boots—whether that’s replacing hardware, adding custom details, repairing leather, or other custom work.

I’m not looking for mass-produced items; I’d really like to support a skilled local craftsman or small shop. If you’ve had good experiences with a leatherworker, bootmaker, saddle shop, or cobbler, I’d appreciate any recommendations and photos of their work!

Places like Starbucks

I’ve got some work I need to finish on my laptop after work, and I’d rather not sit at home.

I’m looking for a place with a coffee shop vibe but that also serves cocktails or beer. Somewhere clean, comfortable, and not blasting music. Somewhere to knock out a couple hours of work while enjoying a drink.

I thought about a sports bar, but I’d rather avoid balancing my laptop on a sticky bar top or dealing with TVs blasting everywhere.

Does Wichita have anything like this? A hotel lobby bar, cocktail lounge, winery, brewery with comfy seating, or any hidden gems that fit the bill?

I’d love to hear your recommendations!

Masonic Lodge

Does anyone else get a weird feeling driving past the Masonic lodge in Wichita?

I know this probably sounds strange, but every time I pass that place I get this eerie feeling that I can’t explain.

Today I went down a rabbit hole and read that there was a major fire there in the early 1900s, which made me wonder if that’s part of why the place has such an unsettling vibe.

I’ve also heard people throw around rumors that it’s haunted or that there’s something odd about the history of the property, but I have no idea what’s actually true and what’s just local legend.

Has anybody been inside? Know the real history?

I could be psyching myself out but I’d love to hear stories whether they’re historical, paranormal, or just Wichita folklore. I can’t be the only one who’s gotten weird vibes from that place.

25 Looking for an open minded friend while I figure myself out

I’m 25 and going through something I’ve never really talked about with anyone before. Lately I’ve been questioning my sexuality, and honestly, I don’t know if I’m straight, bi, gay, or somewhere in between. It’s been confusing, a little scary, and something that’s been on my mind more and more.

I have a partner that I love deeply, which makes these feelings even harder to process. I don’t want to hurt anyone or make assumptions about myself before I truly understand what I’m feeling. Right now, I’m just looking for someone who’s open-minded, nonjudgmental, and willing to chat with someone who’s trying to figure themselves out.

If you’ve been through something similar, questioned your own sexuality later in life, or are simply a good listener, I’d really appreciate having someone to talk to. I’m hoping for honest conversations, different perspectives, and maybe a friendship that helps me better understand myself.

This isn’t about looking for crazy at the moment. It’s about finding a safe space where I can ask questions, share thoughts I’m too scared to bring up with the people closest to me, and hopefully gain enough clarity to know who I really am.

A little about me: I love the outdoors, enjoy trying new restaurants, and value genuine conversations over small talk. If we click, awesome. If all you can offer is your experience and advice, I’d be grateful for that too.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you’re having a great day.

25M | Looking for a genuine female friend—hopefully leading to real-life adventures

Hey everyone!

I’m a 25-year-old guy looking for a female friend to chat with throughout the week. Ideally we’d start as online friends, and if we click, it’d be cool to eventually hang out in person. No pressure though—I think the best friendships happen naturally.

I work long days outdoors, so by the time I get home it’s nice to have someone to talk to. My weekends stay pretty busy, but during the week I definitely get lonely sometimes.

One thing I do every week is take myself out to eat. I actually enjoy it, but it’d be nice to have someone to share a meal with eventually if we become good friends.

A little about me:
I work outside and love being outdoors.
Golf is one of my favorite hobbies.
I’m always down for pools, trying new restaurants, and finding local hidden gems.
I enjoy exploring more than staying inside but I’m always up for whatever.
I absolutely hate snakes and anything that’s supposed to be scary, so don’t expect me to volunteer for haunted houses.

Physically, I’m over 6’ and around 250 lbs. I’m a bigger guy, but I carry my weight well and try to stay active. I don’t really have a “type”—I care much more about someone who’s kind, has a good sense of humor, and takes care of themselves.

If you’re looking for someone who’s easy to talk to, enjoys random conversations, and wouldn’t mind eventually grabbing dinner or checking out a new spot together if we hit it off, feel free to send me a message. Tell me your favorite hidden gem restaurant or the best place you’ve ever traveled to—I always love hearing about new places!
