I’m in Huaraz now and going to Nuevo Chimbote next for some beach time. I can’t quite figure out where to stay in the city. How does it compare to Huaraz? I’d like to stay in a quieter area but still have close access to the beach. Is this a more touristy area with fancier restaurants? Are there big grocery stores/banks? Any insight would be helpful!

Hi! I’m planning a trip to Peru from the United States and I have a peanut allergy. In the US, I don’t worry at all but have read that allergies are not common or known in Peru. I am worried about cross contamination, and explaining the allergy at restaurants given the language barrier. I will also be traveling to some small villages. Has anyone had this experience or have any advice? Any information would be appreciated
Garlic, tomato paste, olive oil, white wine, mussels. Thought it was pretty good! I felt like the sauce didn't stick to all the pasta. Should I just add more reserved pasta water?
Wow this dish is amazing and so easy. All the flavor comes from the clams, just garlic, wine, red pepper flakes, pepper. Can't wait to make it again
