Kuching traffic is getting worse..

Today it took me 1 hour to drive 10km (from Padungan area to Green Heights area). What’s going on with our traffic these days, and I’m doubting it’s just cause of ART.

From my observation,

  1. some cars are going too slow on the right lane holding up traffic
  2. We are very scared to enter roundabouts (even when there’s a completely empty outer most lane)
  3. We’re too slow to move when the lights turn green

Would putting a minimum speed limit help? Put traffic lights at roundabouts? Interchanging traffic direction/ lanes?

I really doubt even with ART eventually done, that it will solve our traffic issues. Something more needs to be done on our roads.

Driving around kuching

Can I just understand two things:

  1. When entering the roundabout/ exiting the lorong and there’s a gap in the traffic, what are you waiting for? Jesus to come back kah?

  2. At this.. Tong Wei Tah lorong entering Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho, why so many ppl like the cut line using the opposite road, but then end up waiting to exit the lorong like everyone else? Why? So brave to cut queue but so kedekut to exit?

Pls help me…

Flying drones around Sarawak/ Kuching

After a bit of research locally and on FB, seems like the drone laws are enforced as much as traffic rules (like jumping red lights) — ie: zero. Got a few post on FB also (mostly property agents) showing their drone shots around Kuching, even got some show their face and company name.

Also it seems that by the beach and in the jungle are generally safer to fly, cause mostly zero enforcements

So.. I guess I can just get a drone and fly around? Or should we be reporting those flying illegally?
