Even when the plots feel super formulaic, they get you so hyped for each scene, episode, etc.

I'm watching the new euphoria, and a lot of the plot is very stupid. But I find it SO exciting, the cliff hangers are very effective, even if I know what will happen. It just works so well and I just think how tf did someone write this story? What is the formula and how can you learn it?

It's extremely entertaining. Writing your own plot to tv standard is super super hard.
