Some games run smoothly, some games crash mid-match, Suspect Graphics Card
There are specific games my PC will run for a good 10/15 min before crashing mid match. Specifically Arc Raiders, Hell Divers and The Finals. My hardware should be able to handle these games just fine (Ill post specs at the bottom), however it was a prebuild I ordered originally with liquid cooling. When I first got it the tubing wasn't connected properly and when the PC warmed up it started to leak. I returned it for a repair only for the same issue to happen again and this time I requested the liquid cooling be swapped for standard cooling. I suspect the graphics card must've been damaged by the coolant that leaked on it from those two instances.
When I spoke with a friend about the games crashing he figured maybe it was because I had not updated to Windows 11. So I updated and tried again. Still crashing mid match, matter a fact I'm crashing more often and on games that used to run just fine (Marvel Rivals and Ready or Not).
Now Im back to suspecting the graphics card despite being a solid card, must be damaged. A friend is willing to get me a 5060 Ti 16gb to upgrade and get me gaming again. I'm wondering if it is compatible with my rig, and if my current diagnosis could be accurate or maybe I'm way off and the cause of my issue is unrelated to the graphics card?
