Hey everyone, looking for a little advice from anyone experienced with indoor wallpaper / wall mural installs and production.
I’m printing a couple indoor murals on an HP Latex 560 using Flexi and Avery Wall MPI 2611 6 mil removable wall vinyl. I’m not doing the installation myself, but the client is installing it.
Current setup:
Adding 2” bleed top and bottom
Using Flexi tiling with 0.5” overlap
Flexi adds overlap to both left and right sides of each panel
The installer is planning on doing a standard overlap install (not double cutting), so my understanding is:
trim off the left-side overlap + white margin on each panel
keep the right-side overlap for install
Does that sound correct?
Also:
Any tips or common mistakes to watch for with indoor murals/wallpaper?
Is Avery Wall MPI 2611 a solid material for this kind of job or are there other materials you’d recommend?
What are you guys typically charging per sq ft for printed wall murals (print only, no install)?
One mural is 11’ × 9’.
The second mural is one continuous image split across two walls meeting at a corner:
12’ × 8.5’
12.5’ × 8.5’
For the corner setup, my plan is to build it as one full image and make sure the panel break lands exactly at the corner transition. Sound right?
Any advice appreciated, thanks!
