26 सितंबर 2026, दिन शनिवार से 16 श्राद्ध पक्ष प्रारंभ हो चुके है। 10 अक्टूबर 2026 को सर्वपितृ अमावस्या रहेगी। इस दिन पितरों की विदाई होगी। इन सोलह दिनों में श्राद्ध कर्म यानी तर्पण, पिंडदान, अन्नदान और अन्य अनुष्ठान करने का एक विशेष समय रहता है। आओ जानते हैं कि वह समय कौनसा रहता है और कितने बटुक या ब्राह्मणों को भोजन कराना चाहिए।
श्राद्ध पक्ष समय:- पितरों का श्राद्ध करने का समय मध्यान्ह काल, कुतुप काल, रोहिणी काल और अभिजीत मुहूर्त रहता है। मध्यान्ह काल सुबह करीब 09 से 12 के बीच के समय को माना गया है। उसमें भी कुतुप और रोहिणी काल का ज्यादा महत्व माना गया है। कुतुप काल दिन का आठवां प्रहर होता है जो करीब सुबह 11:30 से 12:30 के बीच होता है। पाप का शमन करने के कारण इसे कुतुप कहा गया है। इसी बीच बुधवार को छोड़कर अभिजीत मुहूर्त भी रहता है।
कितने बटुक या ब्राह्मणों को कराते हैं भोजन?

जैसे पंचबलि कर्म में गाय, कुत्ते, कौवे, चींटी और अतिथि या देव को भोजन कराते हैं तो यह नहीं सोचते हैं कि उन्हें क्यों भोजन दे रहे हैं। उसी प्रकार योग्य ब्राह्मण को भी उपरोक्त पंचबलि कर्म में ही गिना जाना चाहिए। बटुक यानी कम उम्र के बालक ब्राह्मण। यथाशक्ति 1 से लेकर 11 ब्राह्मणों को भोजन करा सकते हैं। ऐसा कहते हैं कि भांजा और जमाई को भोजन कराना 100 ब्राह्मणों को भोजन कराने के बराबर होता है।
ब्राह्मण भोज का क्या है विज्ञान?

* हम सभी जानते हैं कि पृथ्वी में विधिवत डाला हुआ अन्न का बीज सौगुणा बढ़ता है और जल के अनुपात से खाई हुई औषधि सहस्रगुणी फलवती होती है।
* इसी प्रकार अग्नि में डाली गई वस्तु लक्षगुणा तथा वायुकणों में परिव्याप्त अनन्तगुणी हो जाती है।
* यानी हवन का अन्न परिवर्तित होकर देव और पितरों को तृप्त करता है।
* पुराण कहते हैं कि ब्राह्मण भी अग्नि स्थानीय है, अर्थात विराट के जिस मुख से अग्नि देव उत्पन्न हुआ है उसी मुख से ब्राह्मण की उत्पत्ति लिखी है।
* रेडियो यन्त्र के सान्निध्य में समुच्चरित एक शब्द विद्युत शक्ति के प्रभाव से ब्रह्माण्ड भर में परिव्याप्त हो जाता है।
* इसी प्रकार वैदिक विज्ञान में भी लोकान्तर में बसने वाले देव-पितर आदि प्राणियों तक पृथ्वी लोक से द्रव्य पहुंचाने के लिए अग्निदेव का माध्यम नियत किया गया है जिस का प्रक्रियात्मक स्वरूप, अग्नि में हव्य और कव्य को विधिवत होमना है।
* शास्त्रों के अनुसार, पितृ पक्ष में ब्राह्मणों को भोजन कराने से पूर्वज प्रसन्न होकर तृप्त होते हैं।
* शास्त्र के अनुसार, ब्राह्मण को भोजन कराने से पितरों को भोजन आसानी से पहुंच जाता है।
* शास्त्रों के अनुसार श्राद्ध वाले दिन में पितृ स्वयं ब्राह्मण के रूप में उपस्थित होकर भोजन ग्रहण करते हैं।
* धर्म ग्रंथों के अनुसार, ब्राह्मणों के साथ वायु रूप में पितृ भी भोजन करते हैं।
* ब्राम्हणों को भोजन नहीं करा पा रहे हैं तो यथाशक्ति गाय, कुत्ते, कौवे, चींटी और किसी अतिथि या गरीब को भोजन कराएं।
