I am changing my job and the change of sponsorship application is approved. My current joining date is first week of August but want to move it to September 1.
Solicitor says it should be okay as this is the time needed for notice period .
Anything else i should consider regarding this? Have anyone moved their starting date in the past?
I already have an offer and they have started with the COS process.
I now have another offer and i may want to consider this new offer.
- Until when can I withdraw my acceptance for the first offer.
- What should i confirm with my new offer employer.
- what risk should I be aware of.
- Can i legally withdraw acceptance?
- Should i be even negotiate with the first offer? any chance the first offer can be matched to my new offer?
I have got the job after 2 months for consistent and dedicated job search as 12+ years experienced tech+ product person.

My new company will be paying sponsor visa cost for me and my dependents but will not bear any cost towards ILR.
I am only a year away from ILR and my dependents’ visa is already active and already paid for until ILR.
New employer reduced my offer by 10k due to visa sponsorship requirement.
I have accepted the offer as prioritising ILR but it’s illogical at employers end.
Our current SVW and dependent visas are extended till Aug 2027 . I will be eligible for ILR post that. My current employer has paid for my and my dependents visas.
I got a new offer and my new role will start in Jul 2026. I wanted to know when my employer changes and primary applicant needs to file a new application .
For primary applicant:
- apply for new change of employer visa
- pay Health surcharge for primary applicant - remaining period till Aug 2027
For dependent (my current employer paid for the extension - all cost paid for)
- Do i have to apply any new application for dependents ?
My understanding is that the dependents visa will not change and no additional cost for me until Aug 2027.
