I have made my 1st yr installment today. ..and i m suppose to report on 7th,,,then how to book hostels?

I wanted to know that how much time is needed for admission...cus my parents want to book returning tickets for them,,,,so I m suppose to go on 6th Oct for reporting,,,,so what's good date for there returning???so that everything is done,,,like hostels ,,,admission and every procedure....

If I come for reporting on 6th Oct after Round 3, will I get a good hostel?...like currently i m holding seat in mcods mlr....but if upgraded,,,,thennn...
