Just curious as to whether anyone has ever witnessed a slow car pull into a layby zone to let faster cars pass?

Everytime I've been on a road with these zones, I have never once seen a car that is doing under the signed speed limit actually pull over into these bays to let cars doing the limit pass. Not once. Trucks yes, they are usually pretty good about knowing they are slow and giving way. But old mate in his Rav 4 or Hilux similar? Not once in my experience...
