New to padel
Hey everyone,
I’ve been playing padel for about 4 weeks now. I usually play 2–3 times a week, and my first private lesson is comin up in a few days.
Right now I’m using a Kuikma Comfort Soft with an overgrip. Overall I’m happy with it, but over the last week I’ve started getting a bit of wrist pain after playing. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m new and playing more, if it’s my technique, or if the racket could be part of the issue.
I was thinking about upgrading to a “proper” brand racket (maybe Nox, Bullpadel, etc.), but I’m wondering if that’s too early. Would it make more sense to wait until after my lesson and get my coach’s opinion, or is there a noticeabl difference even for a beginner?
Has anyone gone through something similar? Did switching rackets help, or was it mostly a technique issue?
Thanks!
