How do you prepare to sell a roofing or construction business instead of just listing it?
I'm a roofing contractor running my own business since the past few years, and I'm now looking to sell. A couple of people have asked if I'd sell this year, and it made me realize I have no real idea what the business is worth or what would need to change before anyone serious made an offer. Not trying to sell tomorrow but I want to know everything to consider before I waste anyone's time down the road. Any advice or resources would be greatly appreciated.
