Money Market Funds - cannot understand if I like them

I have around one year of expenses in a Tagesgeld with N26 but as they did not move the interest rate even with the latest ECB increase I am considering moving some or all of it.

Easiest logistical piece would be the Flexible Cash Fund they offer up to 2.29% however the more I read around MMF the less I trust them. How is the sub around MMFs? Do you use them?

Should I just open yet another bank account to still use Tagesgeld but with better conditions? (I have a DKB, N26, Degiro and Scalable but will close the latter soon)

Getting a second cat? Help us choose

TL;DR: I have a hyper, high-energy Ragdoll boy who I think is bored. We're expecting a baby in December, and I'm considering getting a second cat for companionship/energy burning. I have some major concerns about my small apartment (850 sq ft) and if a second cat will actually help rather than create new problems.

We adopted a Ragdoll boy in February when he was 11 weeks. After some initial tummy issues, his health seems ok and was neutered 2 weeks ago. He is, without a doubt, the most hyperactive cat I have ever owned. Seriously. His play drive is relentless, and he has this constant need to get outside. We do have a balcony, but since we’re renters, we can’t fully cat-proof it. We’ve done some leash training, but, he’s constantly trying to get out and whining, even though we hoped hormonal energy was passing. We work from home, so he’s rarely lonely, but it’s not enough. He gets bored of wand toys/playthings very quickly. He comes from a huge litter (mum, dad, 2 aunts, 4 brothers) plus multiple dogs, so he's incredibly used to chaos and high levels of company. I’m wondering if this extreme energy and door/window obsession is simply boredom, or something else? (Of course, I don't want him bored or unhappy!)

In March, we found out we were expecting in December. It was unexpected, and it has significantly ramped up my stress about his attention needs. I’m now seriously considering adding a second cat to have them play off each other and distract him from the outside world (while we still plan to take him out). But I have a few major hesitations and need some real-world experience from you all:

  1. Space & Scent Swapping: We live in an 850 sq ft apartment with two big rooms, a kitchen, and a small bathroom. I’m terrified we won’t have enough space for the mandatory 2-3 week "scent swapping" period. I’ve read online that this is vital, but has anyone managed it in a small space, or is this an absolute dealbreaker? Can it be only for a couple days?
  2. Behavior Shift: Will a second cat actually help him "burn off steam," or does it risk him going back to rough play (he's rough with me, and we are actively managing that) or flare up any digestive sensitivities?
  3. Apartment Size: Is 850 sq ft too cramped for two cats?
  4. Travel Logistics: Is it feasible to properly leash-train two cats and car-travel them safely?
  5. Litter Box Situation: We currently have two litter boxes (one standard, one oversized). Is the idea of a third one absolutely non-negotiable for "the science"? I usually scoop twice a day.

I’m really worried that my cat isn't genuinely happy and is constantly stressed by something I can't fix. He gets "grindy" when he whines or scratches doors/windows as soon as he's done playing. Any advice, horror stories, or successful tips you have would be massively appreciated! Thanks for reading!
