SHINRA – Siege at Tenrin-go (1549) (Fan-made, non-canon)

(Sorry but I see all rainbows and shit so it's not that much traumatic as CENTAURA :=ç)

The campaign began on a warm evening in 1549 under the shadow of an approaching storm. The regional geography heavily favored the defenders; the holy sanctuary of Tenrin-go was insulated by the deep, treacherous waters of Lake Komodono. This forced the invading Katakara vanguard, consisting of twenty-five heavily armored war junks and 3,750 Yumi Kobaya (archers), to advance in a dense, rigid triangular formation. While this formation mimicked the crushing force of a land-based cavalry charge, it proved disastrous on the water.

Stationed atop high, terraced ramparts, the Shinra defenders capitalized on their height advantage. As the sun set, they unleashed a devastating crossfire of flaming arrows and concentrated arquebus volleys. The tightly packed Katakara ships became easy targets in the bottleneck of the lake. Incendiary damage and gunfire shattered the vanguard's momentum, dragging down several floating fortresses and claiming approximately 8,600 Katakara lives before the fleet could even reach the shore.

The Scorched-Earth Retreat and Urban Ambush

Despite the initial naval catastrophe, the sheer size of the remaining 95,000 Katakara host forced a tactical shift. Recognizing that their projectile reserves were depleted, the legendary Sohei warrior, Kimura Sanzō, ordered a disciplined withdrawal. The civilian population and the main militia body were evacuated into the dense Mokonodo forests under the guidance of hidden Kisho Ninjas from the Shinube Clan.

When the Katakara forces finally disembarked, they were met with an eerie silence and completely empty streets. Believing the defenders had fled, the vanguard advanced deep into the heart of the village without proper scouting. This was a fatal miscalculation. Concealed within the velvet darkness of the buildings, 15,000 Sohei warriors lay in wait across all of the village.

Sanzō’s strike was swift, silent, and precise, neutralizing key targets for fifteen minutes before the alarm was raised. When the chaos finally erupted, the highly disciplined Sohei broke the rigid, startled formations of the invaders. In this sharp, brutal urban engagement, Sanzō lost only 3,900 heroes while eliminating roughly 34,000 Katakara troops, including their commanding General. The loss of leadership induced immediate panic: while some fractured Katakara units surrendered on the coast or committed seppuku, a relentless, uncoordinated wave of 39,500 troops pushed blindly forward into the tree line.

The Decisive Battle of Mokonodo Forest

The final phase of the battle unfolded in the claustrophobic terrain of the Mokonodo Forest, a setting that completely stripped the Katakara of their numerical superiority and formal battlefield drills.

As the 39,500 invaders pressed into the dense woods, they walked directly into a massive, multi-layered trap. The Kisho Ninjas initiated the assault by unleashing devastating black-powder Horuku bombs alongside heavy iron armaments. The sudden, thundering explosions caused widespread psychological panic and shattered what remained of the Katakara cohesion.

Immediately following the blasts, a massive wave of 38,000 inspired Shinra militia soldiers charged into the smoke. What followed was a brutal war of attrition. Though the Katakara warriors were individually formidable, they were bogged down, blind, and unable to reform their lines. Through a combination of sheer grit, explosive shock tactics, and perfect exploitation of the forest terrain, the Shinra Coalition secured a narrow, hard-won, but decisive defensive victory, leaving the grand Katakara invasion force shattered and broken

Working on a fanmade archipelago in Forma. Sagitta Archipelago

I was totally inspire by Japan. The archipelago is from the other part of Forma, the farthest island from the main continents. In the image you find my unfinished map. You may wonder "why the many clans?"? Well it's because the "plot" is ambiented during the 16th Century, the Johei Jidai. Infact this archipelago is suffering a civil war. Jus wanted to share my work :).

Anyways I don't wanna be considered a larper. I've tried to ask in the discord server but they kicked me out, can someone give me some keypoints of the lore perhaps (both CENTAURA and DEAD AHEAD)?
