Day 5

Day 5

Day 5 of learning manga art and building my fan-made Darling in the Franxx Season 2 project 🌸

Today was another fundamentals day. I kept repeating the same drawing drills again:

- straight lines

- circles

- rectangles

- triangles

- 2D shapes

- basic 3D forms

It’s repetitive 😭 but I’m starting to understand how important muscle memory and control really are before jumping into full manga panels.

I also continued writing more chapters for the story, and honestly… writing is getting harder now. Not because I’m running out of ideas, but because pacing and emotional flow are becoming way more important as the characters develop.

Right now I’m trying to focus less on “big moments” and more on the core emotions underneath scenes:

- silence

- emotional distance

- comfort

- confusion

- subconscious connection

I’m realizing slow-burn storytelling is way harder than I expected ☠️ but also way more rewarding when scenes finally click together naturally.

Still learning slowly, one chapter and one sketch at a time

Day 4

Day 4 of learning manga art and building my fan-made Darling in the Franxx Season 2 project

Today was mostly writing and fundamentals again. I finished another chapter and it ended up becoming the longest chapter I’ve written so far 😭 It focused a lot more on character interactions, pacing, emotional tension, and relationship dynamics.

I also kept practicing basic drawing exercises:

- straight lines

- circles

- triangles

- rectangles

- 2D shapes

And today I started trying some basic 3D shapes too. Surprisingly they turned out way better than I expected, so that gave me a bit more confidence to keep going.

One thing I’m realizing while writing this story is how important pacing really is. Even after I “finish” chapters, I’ll probably spend a long time going back, adding scenes, removing scenes, and fixing emotional flow before I ever seriously turn it into manga pages.

Still learning slowly, but the world and characters are starting to feel more alive every day

Day 3

Day 3 of learning manga art and working on my fan-made Darling in the Franxx Season 2 project

Today was mostly focused on writing and fundamentals again. I finished planning/writing two chapters for the story and spent more time practicing basic drawing exercises:

- straight lines

- circles

- triangles

- rectangles

- simple 2D shapes

- hand control practice

Still very beginner-level stuff 😭 but I’m trying to build proper fundamentals instead of rushing straight into character art.

The story itself is slowly becoming more character-focused and emotionally grounded than I originally planned. Right now I’m mainly working on relationship dynamics, emotional tension, and the slow connection between characters before the larger VIRM storyline begins later on.

It still feels strange that a project is pushing me to learn drawing this seriously, but honestly this fan manga has become my biggest motivation lately 🌙

Day two of making fan made DITF season two

Day 2 of working on my fan-made Darling in the Franxx Season 2 project 🌸

Today I mainly focused on planning the structure of the story and practicing the absolute basics of drawing. Right now I’m still learning from scratch, so most of today’s art practice was just:

straight lines

circles

triangles

rectangles

basic shape control

Not very exciting yet 😭 but I know fundamentals matter if I seriously want to turn this into a manga someday.

I also designing the city map and organizing the story into 4 major phases, each with its own chapters and emotional direction.

Phase 1: Reunion and emotional connection

Phase 2: Growth, relationships, peace and just return of virm

Phase 3: Past of virm planet.

Phase 4: Truth about VIRM, consciousness, and the final conflict

The story is still heavily focused on reincarnation, identity, loneliness, and two souls finding each other again without memories.

Still a beginner, but slowly building this world one step at a time.

Fan made DITF season two.

Hey everyone. Recently I started learning how to draw because I wanted to create something I genuinely care about: a fan-made Season 2 of Darling in the Franxx.

Right now I’m still a complete beginner at drawing, but I’ve already started building the story, world, characters, and themes for the continuation. The story continues after the original ending and focuses on the reincarnation of Hiro and Zero Two, humanity rebuilding itself centuries later, and the eventual return of VIRM.

I’m trying to keep the emotional and philosophical feeling of the original series instead of turning it into just another action sequel. A big part of the story is about connection, identity, loneliness, and finding each other again even without memories.

At the moment I’m mainly focusing on:

- learning anatomy and manga art

- improving storytelling

- planning the city/world design

- writing the structure of the manga

Honestly, this project is my main motivation to keep learning drawing 😭

I know it’ll probably take a long time, but I wanted to share the beginning of the journey instead of waiting until everything becomes “perfect.”

Hopefully one day I can turn it into a proper manga 🌸

And I am not planning on using ai like those instagram people who were saying to create ai anime of DITF season two. My main focus is on the story and my drawings that I am still learning.

It's going to take too much time, not for the story but to learn how to draw and actually create a manga.

I hope you guys like the story.

This is just day one.
