Help a Non-EU Student decide: Naples Federico II vs Catania for Medicine

I’m a Non-EU (Indian) applicant currently preparing for IMAT 2026 and I'm stuck between two choices. I’ve done my research, but I’m looking for some real perspectives on student life and differences between University of Naples Federico II and University of Catania for Medicine.

My family seems to prefer Catania as it safer due to higher number of Non-EU seats, but I'm leaning towards Naples due to the higher international ranking.

I want to make sure I pick the right environment so I would love to hear from anyone at either uni or suggestions for other unis as well.
