So the hardwood is gorgeous. I will give it that. Makes the room look cleaner, brighter, more adult, all the things I wanted.
But my dog’s hair? It has become mobile.
On carpet it used to hide like a coward. On hardwood it travels openly. Corners, baseboards, under the console table, little golden tumbleweeds drifting across the room like an old western movie.
I expected less maintenance. What I got was more visibility. Which is useful, I guess, but also rude.
For people who’ve had hardwood, carpet, rugs, tile, whatever: what floor surfaces actually trap the most pet hair and dander, and which ones just make the mess easier to see?
Because I’m learning “easy to clean” and “looks clean for more than six hours” are not the same thing
