I've recently been given an conditional offer of employment that along with the nessacery pre employment checks required a reference. I provided an email address to my current employer and upon receiving the email, phoned me in a rage, and at the end stated I was sacked.

I have worked for this company for over 3 years and had up until now a professional relationship with them.

I am now concerned that I will be unable to fulfil the conditions of my conditional job offer and will be left unemployed.

I tried to explain that my choosing to depart was solely for work load reasons as my employer requires me to work anti social hours and long hours, but all of this fell on deaf ears.
