Ok Bay Area, what happened yesterday which led to BART reaching 254,248 riders?

This is a new record and while I was expecting 250k later in the year. Were there any events or something special that led to this record? Also, I think last week (unless I am mistaken) was the first week that there were more than 200,000k riders ALL week. I am so happy for BART but what is happening that is leading to these increases in ridership?

What event was yesterday (Agust 24, 2026) that made BART reached 203, 919 on a Monday?

I am just curious if I missed something like an event that made this record. As far as I know, there is no othrr Monday that made it reach over 200k. Usually, this amount of riders is for Tusdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

What happened yesterday? Ridership reached 235,943 riders!

I am just curious, yesterday I had to use BART and found that there were more riders than usual. I know ridership has been increasing but this is a new Post pandemic record. Was there an event or something that increased ridership more than usual?
