The hidden biblical irony
I know PN confirmed Luger is named after the infamous Luger PP08,but also I realised the devil aka Lucifer + Tiger = LuGer, is this a coincidence? I doubt it.
Reciting Genesis 1:1 while intro-ing the most blood-thirsty men of the opium wars was kinda ironic, right?
I looked up this necklace Luger is wearing, and it is a Dove, the ancient and biblical symbol of PEACE, while being introduced as the bloody Devil himself! This also felt ironic. Or maybe he's hinting at Luger secretly working towards ending the war and establishing the peace? O can't tell..
Even more ironic is that he chose christian symbolism while everybody is Muslim, what is that about?
Also in the Interview, PN was also saying that "philosophy runs everywhere... it all comes from these great books. It's there for everyone to see."
So these choices of the verse, the necklace is definitely not a coincidence.
