Mites?
My jumping spider molted for the first time yesterday and when I went to take her mold out today I noticed many moving white dots on the desk on which her enclosure is. I wiped down the surface of her enclosure, then placed it somewhere else. I desinfected the entire desk (made sure to place my spider in a completely different room to make sure it won't effect her). They seem to come from my fruit fly colony which I got a week ago together with my spider, I wiped it off numerous times now but they just keep appearing. What is the best way to get rid of them and are they harmful for my jumping spider? Do I have to get rid of my fruit flies and how do I prevent them from appearing again? I am going on a short vacation soon so I am also worried about it getting out of hand while I am away. Sorry for not providing a better picture but I tried my best :(
