It says this wood is yew, I've sawn it and I hope to carve some spoons from it (split and carve)

Any positive ID on it?

On the angle is freshly cut, it turns as orange as the flat cut after 30 mins or so.

New to the game of wood ID.

Edit: Until I Googled it I never knew would could kill me!
